Nelson Police seize significant quantity of drugs from Rosemont residence

A search warrant was executed at a residence in Rosemont over the weekend and Nelson Police say two people were taken into custody. The search warrant was executed on Saturday, March 9 at 7:45 PM on grounds of illicit drug trafficking related to the residence.  Police say this followed a prolonged investigation.

A significant quantity of drugs was seized from the home including 2.7 kilograms of Cocaine, 400 grams of MDMA, or Ecstasy as it’s more commonly known as, and 320 grams of Ketamine. A newer model vehicle was also seized as proceeds of crime as was $1,600 in Canadian cash.

A male remains in custody to appear in court and a female has been released on conditions. Both were known to police.

The street value of the drugs is believed to be in excess of $100,000 in Canadian currency.
