Kalein Centre hosts festival on death and grieving

The death of a loved one is something that we will all experience in our lives. Mike Stolte with the Kalein Centre lost his partner a couple years ago and is now organizing a festival that focuses on death and grieving in Nelson. Stolte says he found that talking to other helped with the grieving process.

It’s a week long festival called Woken Up: Journeys of Death, Grief, and a whole lot of Living. Events include a ‘deathtival’ at the Civic Theatre.

There’s also a night of story telling, and a community walk.

The festival starts on May 28. Click here for more information.
