Group gets set to launch campaign for new voting system

A Nelson group is hoping to see electoral reformĀ in the province. Ann Remnant is the Kootenay Leader of Fair Vote Canada. She says anyone interested in joining their campaign for proportional representation is invited to a meeting this Sunday.

Remnant feels there would be many positive changes with proportional representation.

The meeting happens Sunday at the Seniors Centre on Vernon Street at 7:00pm. For more information you can contact Ann at [email protected].

The campaign is happening in advance of the referendum coming this fall on electoral reform in BC.
