Our region’s KIJHL teams were well-represented at the prospects game in Kelowna Saturday.
The Kootenay Conference team, led by Nelson Leafs coach Mario DiBella, skated to a 7-3 victory over the Okanagan/Shuswap squad.
Leafs forward Ryan Cooper was named the Kootenay Conference’s MVP.
Grand Forks Border Bruins forward Rilee Poffenroth scored the game-winner.
Players from the Creston Valley Thunder Cats, Castlegar Rebels and Beaver Valley Nitehawks were also involved.
