CBT welcoming community initiatives grant submissions from RDCK

The Columbia Basin Trust is accepting submissions for one of its well-known funding initiatives.

Strategic advisor Wayne Lundeberg says community initatives and affected areas grant program is one of the first the trust launched in the 1990s.

It’s open to any Regional District of Central Kootenay municipality looking for a funding injection for a project which meets public needs.

Local governments, non-profits, indigenous groups and registered schools have until February 28 to apply.

Lundeberg says the program covers a wide-variety of eligible projects.

The CBT is granting RDCK communities just over $1.4 million.
