The Regional District of Central Kootenay has a few projects lined up for 2018.
East Shore Director Garry Jackman says there will be a focus on tourism related projects in his area.
He says that will tie into similar projects all across the region including updating a database of trails, recreation, and other outdoor points of interest.
Jackman says encouraging tourism is crucial for the economy.
He says agriculture in the area is doing well, a food policy council was created last year to look at growing and selling to local buyers.
