In the KIJHL Sunday the Nelson Leafs finished 2017 with a 2-0 win at home over the Beaver Valley Nitehawks.
It was Leafs goalie Josh Williams’ fifth shutout of the season.
Leafs defender Ethan Land scored the game-winner late in the third period.
These two met Friday in Fruitvale but the game was called off during the first period due to a power outage.

Also Sunday the Castlegar Rebels beat the Border Bruins 6-2 in Grand Forks.
Saturday the Rebels scored a 6-2 win at home over the Spokane Braves.
