Some Nelson seniors are worried funding may run out at the end of the year for local home care services.
They’ve been provided the last couple of years through a Columbia Basin Trust social development grant.
But Pegasis McGauley of the Seniors Co-ordinating Society says they hoped Nelson would be part of the provincial Better at Home program by now.
McGauley says the current government hasn’t offered any promises so far.

About 15 seniors rallied downtown this week and in front of MLA Michelle Mungall’s office to draw attention to the issue.
Better at Home is already offered in places like Castlegar, Creston, and Nakusp.
