Dryden Hunt’s NHL debut this month brought back pleasant memories for another Nelson native.
Mike Laughton played his first National Hockey League game 50 years ago with the Oakland Seals.
He says he was awestruck when he entered New York’s Madison Square Gardens for the first time.
Laughton went on to play 189 games in the NHL plus 203 games in the World Hockey Association.

He says it’s wonderful to see Hunt follow in his footsteps.
Hunt has now played six games for the Florida Panthers.
