The Beaton Arm Crossing Association is once again pushing for a bridge to be built over Upper Arrow Lake north of Nakusp.
President Earl Frerichs says it would help with the increasing congestion on the Galena Bay ferry route.
The BC Government estimates it would cost $462 million to build the bridge.
But Frerichs says that figure could be lower if some frills were taken out of the project.
He says the idea for the bridge was originally hatched in 2011.
