A 99-year-old trapper’s cabin in meadow creek will be moved onto a new foundation.
That’s thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Columbia Basin Trust’s built heritage program.
Lardeau Valley Historical Society president Peter Jonker says the cabin belonged to Billy Clark.
Jonker says the log cabin was moved when the Duncan dam was built in the 1960s.
Since 2000 it’s been on the museum’s property.
