UPDATED: Suspect arrested in commercial break-ins

Nelson police think they’ve caught the guy responsible for breaking into three businesses in Railtown.

They say the suspect was arrested at about 4 p.m. today. They believe he broke into three businesses in the same building on June 13 and stole various items.

In a news release, police said he is known to them and has only been in the area for a few months.

The man is facing three counts of break and enter and was held in custody overnight pending a court appearance in Castlegar on Wednesday.
