BC Transit ‘Superstar’ pushes for local improvements

An employee with the RDCK has been honoured with a ‘Transit Superstar’ award from BC Transit.

Randy Matheson is a research analyst.

He’s made big strides in helping to expand our regional transit system and various upgrades for passengers in conjunction with Ministry of Transportation staff.

The last year BC Transit had $1 million to spend across the province on things like bus stops.

Matheson was able to secure almost a third of that funding just for our area, so that has saved taxpayer dollars.
