Nelson and Kaoma, Zambia are marking five years of a municipal partnership agreement.
It sees a local volunteer group working with women in remote rural communities to promote global equality.
Treasurer Helen Samson says it’s been a rewarding relationship.
The local group sells baskets made by rural Zambians.

On June 3 and 4 they will also host Salome Nakawze, a member of Women for Change in Zambia, who works in Kaoma.
Last week Nelson city council recorded a video message for the Kaoma district council.
