The Village of Salmo has set its property tax increase at what it calls a ” modest ” 2%.
The average home assessed at $160,000 will see an increase of $10 a year.
In a media release the village said they collect about $370,000 a year in municipal taxes.
This year’s budgeted expenditures total over $2.5 million made possible through a series of successful grants.
