NDP promises to build family care centres

The NDP is promising to lift the burden on BC’s Eemergency rooms.

Their latest election pledge is to build urgent family care centres across the province staffed with teams of doctors and nurses.

When asked where the funding would come from Nelson-Creston New Democrat candidate Michelle Mungall says the money is in their costed-out platform.

Mungall says attracting new doctors via Selkirk College’s rural medicine program is part of the recruitment solution.
