IH confirms permanent weekend doctor coverage in Kaslo

Interior Health has announced that weekend primary health care in Kaslo will continue to run on a permanent basis.

This follows a successful weekend trial run the last seven months.

There are a total of four physicians working out of the Victorian Community Health Centre.

It’s still not the 24/7 emergency coverage Kaslo once had but Mayor Suzan Hewat says it’s positive news.

The weekend hours are 9-to-5, as per the weekday hours.
