Whitewater received 17 centimeters of snow overnight.
Another five to ten centimeters is on the way for the valley bottoms, mixed with rain.
The Kootenay Pass will be closed again from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday for avalanche control.
Avalanche control also continues until 3:30 today on Highway 31, five kilometres south of Meadow Creek.
