Nelson’s Thomas Middleditch went home empty-handed from the Emmy Awards last night.
The Silicon Valley star was nominated for best actor in a TV comedy series, but the award went to Jeffrey Tambor of Transparent.
Middleditch plays the role of a shy programmer who creates an app that catches the attention of billionaire investors and goes onto create his own business.
Middleditch – who graduated from L.V Rogers and performed at the Capitol Theatre – has also had roles in The Office and Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.
