A brush fire on Giveout Creek Road near Nelson was put out Monday.
Assistant Nelson Fire Chief Mike Daloise says the workers did a good job slowing the fire down.
The fire department then extinguished it and forestry crews ensured there were no hot spots.
It may have been triggered by wind-blown embers from a campfire.
