Hockey teams’ move will cost Nelson rink $20,000

The move of two major midget hockey teams to trail will leave a void on the ice in Nelson.

BC Hockey has informed the Nelson and District Community Complex they won’t need ice time this season.

But recreation manager Marty Benson is optimistic others will step in.

Losing the Kootenay Wild and Kootenay Ice means a $20,000 loss in arena revenues.
