Adding a couple more movie screens remains a goal of the Nelson Civic Theatre Society.
Executive director Eleanor Stacey updated council this week on their plans.
Stacey says the campaign has been in its silent phase but will soon become more public.
She says the extra screens are key to both showing more films and giving back to the community.
