Tenders for resurfacing part of the Great Northern Rail Trail above Nelson have come in over budget.
RDCK project manager Jeff Phillips says they’re recommending the bids be rejected.
But they’ll adjust the specs and try again.
Both bids were more than the $125,000 available for the project.
It calls for about five kilometers of new gravel surface between Mountain Station and Svoboda Road.
