Provincial funds have come through to help Slocan transition its economy from industry to eco-tourism.
The village will receive $120,000 through the BC Job Creation Partnership.
Mayor Jessica Lunn says it will help pay for a couple of key improvements.
Four people have been hired to do the work over six months.
Last year Slocan received a similar grant to develop an owl walk.
