A successful helicopter long line rescue from the Shannon Pass trail on Nelson’s North Shore.
This after a mountain biker on the Trans BC six-day Enduro race fell and fractured his lower leg.
He was stabilized by the event’s medical team before nelson search and rescue members arrived on foot.
Because of the remoteness and ruggedness of the area they used a helicopter to get the man to safety.
