Short-term rental owners in Nelson have banded together and say they want to pay their fair share.
They’ve formed a new association as the city contemplates whether and how to regulate vacation rentals.
Stephen Harris — who runs one — says they’d like to chip in but right now they can’t.
Harris suggests a new sliding-scale business license would be the best route.
He says the funds raised could be used to encourage long-term rental development.
