New funding opportunity for agrifood producers

BC food producers and entrepreneurs can access a new program to support market development.

It’s open to agrifood and seafood producers and processors, forest plant and mushroom producers and wild crafters.

Creston Valley agrifood consultant Paris Marshall-Smith says the funding will help those looking to expand.

The feds and province have set aside up to $400, 000 for the initiative.

It runs until March 2017.
