Big fines for violating fire ban

A reminder from a Creston-area rural fire chief that disregarding fire bans will cost you.

This as the Southeast Fire CentreĀ is currently under Category 2 and 3 open fire prohibitions.

Which bans everything except campfires that are less thanĀ 0.5 ofĀ metre by 0.5 of a metre.

Guthrie is also reminding people that tiki torches, fireworks and burning barrels are included in the ban.
