A great long weekend for local minor lacrosse clubs.
West Kootenay Association President Devon Reid says the peewee, bantam and midget teams were all very successful at the Canada Day International Lacrosse Tournament in Calgary.
The peewees fell 6-5 in the finals in overtime to Strathmore, and the midgets lost 3-2 to Calgary in their gold medal game, surrendering a goal in the dying seconds.
The day belonged to the bantams who dominated Calgary 11-2 in the finals.
