An 18-year old male was in Castlegar court today in connection with the alleged threat at Mount Sentinel High School in South Slocan.
It was reportedly a bail hearing but few details are available due to a publication ban.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in Nelson Court Wednesday morning facing two counts of uttering threats.
RCMP were called to the school Friday afternoon following a report of an unspecified threat.
A student had been detained by school officials and after a brief discussion he was taken into police custody.
Investigators had determined there was a very serious threat and RCMP say it was an isolated incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
And SD8 has decided to open Mount Sentinel school to staff only tomorrow.
Students will be able to return Wednesday to clean out their lockers and say their farewells.
Decisions around graduation cerememonies are still pending.
