Nelson mayor impressed by group proposing gondola

The Mayor of Nelson says there is interest among her council to study the feasibility of a gondola.

The local volunteer group behind the multi million dollar concept from Railtown to Morning Mountain have asked the city and the RDCK for $25, 000 each.

The CBT could then match that for the $100, 000 study.

Deb Kozak is impressed by the local composition of the proponents.

Kozak said the city could use grants or reserve funds for their contribution but will await a staff report.
