The installation of 18 new main line water valves in North Castlegar will save time, energy and inconvenience for residents.
This from Councillor Dan Rye who says the new infrastructure will allow them to shut down much smaller areas of the community at a time when there is a water related issue – so it’ll affect fewer businesses and households.
It will also benefit the City when they flush out the system every spring.
The project will cost the city nearly $130,000 and Rye figures the work could be done by summer’s end.
