One of the seven contenders for this month’s Grand Forks by election has spent almost a quarter century on the council table.
And when it comes to water matters – which have dominated the city’s politics this last term – Patrick O’Doherty has plenty of experience.
O’Doherty said he planned to retire after failing to get re-elected in 2014 but people- and business owners especially- want him back.
He wants to ensure the downtown infrastructure program keeps going.
An all-candidates forum goes at Grand Forks Secondary from 7 pm Tuesday. Election day is May 28th.
