SD8 backs media campaign

Amidst the uncertainty of possible closures the Kootenay Lake School Board has narrowly approved sharing costs of a local media campaign.

Like neighboring SD20 they will join parents, teachers and CUPE in running ads in the media calling for appropriate levels of funding from government.

District Parent Advisory Council Chair Sheri Walsh says it’s a message that all citizens need to hear.

The total cost for the campaign is minimal with the school district agreeing to contribute $300.
