The unusually warm April has officially been entered into the record books.
The South East Fire Centre weather office confirms that the daily temperature record was broken on five seperate occasions last month.
The highest was 27.5 on the 18th.
The mean monthly temperature, that’s the average of all the highs and lows, was 3.4 degrees warmer than normal.
It was the hottest April since local climate records began back in 1965.
It was also very dry.
We had just 54% of normal precipitation.
