An event in Salmo is meant to engage youth with politics.
The Southern Interior Youth Parliament is one of six governing bodies which make up the BCÂ Youth Parliament.
They’ll meet at the Salmo Valley Youth Centre in early June.
President of the Salmo Youth Action Committee Victoria Sukra says it is a very educational outing.
She says the experience teaches citizenship skills through participation in community service and parliamentary sessions throughout the year.
