The Robson Volunteer Fire Department has been recognized for its efforts towards averting wildfire risk.
It has been awarded a National Wildfire Community Preparedness day early next month.
Chief Jeff Grant says they have created a clean-up plan and will put that to a public meeting April 27th.
Higher risk areas are properties or areas where brush may have become overgrown.

He says some people don’t have the ability to tackle this on their own.
But when the community chips in, which will be on May 7th, that can go a long way to cutting down on fuel sources.
