The spring heat wave continues with temperatures forecast to reach 28 C again Wednesday, although that didn’t quite happen Tuesday.
We still had various daily records. Nelson reached 23.7 C to exceed the previous best for April 19th 1934 by 0.4 C.
The high in Castlegar Tuesday easily surpassed the historic high from 1983. It got up to 25.3 C which was over 1.5 C warmer than the previous mark.
And the Trail area was recorded at 26.7 C. That exceeded the previous best from April 19th 1934 by just over 1 C.
We may see more records today before temperatures decline by as much as ten degrees on the weekend.
