Clothesline event in Trail

There’s an event Tuesday in Trail to bring awareness to the community about the issue of violence against women.

The clothesline event starts this morning at 10 am and runs til 2 pm outside Ferraro Foods.

RCMP Sgt Darren Oelke says members from the local detachment will be on hand.

Survivors of violence paint t-shirts with messages sharing their experiences and personal stories.

They are then hung on a line for the public to see.

Free hot dogs and beverages will be available.
