The President and CEO of Selkirk College is digesting the big changes in funding ratios but is reminding government of the need for balance.
The government announced this week that universities and colleges will have to direct 25% of their funding to programs identified by industry as in-demand, up from the current level of 10%.
Angus Graeme says Selkirk has strong courses catering for in-demand areas but it’s important to retain an overall mix of study.
The funding changes will be brought in over the next four years.
