Record-breaking temperatures possible

We’re barely a week into April but warm weather records could be broken.

The temperature is expected to get to around 25 degrees in our region today.

In advance of that Environment Canada has issued the all-time highs for various locations so we can see how close it gets.

Castlegar hit 25 degrees on this day in 1925, while Nelson recorded a high of 23.3 back in 1934.

Trail reached 25.6 in 1977 and on this day that same year it was 26.1 in Grand Forks.
