Nelson has blue bag recycling, has closed it’s transfer station and now’s the time to think about what a public composting service should look like.
This from Bruce Edson the Coordinator for Earth Matters which is run by the West Kootenay Eco Society.
He’s currently surveying residents regarding their needs and wants for organics.
Edson says the RDCK will be amending its regulations early next year to allow for compost collection so the community should be discussing this important waste issue.
