The Regional District likes the sound of motorcycle tourism dollars, but not every exhaust pipe.
Since a group of residents presented the RDCK with a petition featuring thousands of names a debate has unravelled about noisy motorbikes.
They want the province to ensure the small amount of offenders are ticketed, saying residents and local businesses have to endure that noise.
But some businesses fear it’s all become too anti-motorbike when they rely on that tourism income.

The RDCK recently wrote a letter supporting the petitioners call to the province for better enforcement of noise pollution laws.
