No nation-wide carbon pricing model

Disappointed but hopeful.

That’s the response from the West Kootenay Eco Society after first-minister climate action talks.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Premiers wrapped up talks in Vancouver without a Pan-Canadian climate pricing scheme.

Trudeau had promised such a national framework within 90 days of the Paris Climate Deal in December.

Eco Society Community Organizer Montana Burgess says

As it stands the deal looks set to allow each province to adapt its own carbon pricing mechanisms by the fall.
