Rossland is very hopeful they can get their long sought-after skatepark built.
That’s because the local Youth Action Network and Rossland Skatepark Association are submitting a joint bid to the CBT’s new recreation infrastructure grant fund.
And councillor Andrew Zwicker says the city has fully endorsed that.
The joint application is to fund the $500,000 skatepark project includes the renovation for a shed on the old Emcon lot into a new youth centre with washrooms.
Zwicker says if the application is successful the project could be built in the summer.
