The first in a series of five public meetings across the Kootenay Lake School District goes in Nelson this evening.
It’s designed to inform the community and seek feedback on the school district’s ranking of around 50 reconfiguration or closure scenarios.
Here’s Superintendent Jeff Jones.
The public will learn about the various scenarios and scoring system at the Central School gym in Nelson from 6:30 tonight.
Jones says the board has had no discussion on a plan yet.
SD8 can’t afford to run all its under-utilized buildings because of declining student population.
