The provincial NDP is going on a fact-finding mission to the United States to learn about how marijuana legalization has gone and is going in various states.
This from opposition leader John Horgan who has selected his senior MLA’s Carole James and Mike Farnworth for the job.
He says Canadians – and certainly British Columbians – want the issue addressed sooner than later.
Horgan says BC needs to be prepared ahead of federal moves to legalize and he aims to go into next year’s provincial election having shown leadership in this area.
