The Grohman Creek Docking Society is looking for a presence along nelson’s shorelines and it would benefit Grohman Creek and the Queen City.
This from GCDS President Jeff Muldoon who is speaking after recently presenting the idea to Nelson City Council.
Muldoon says having their own dock would also ease congestion along the docks on Nelson’s shoreline.
The group has earmarked an area near the old transfer station by the airport which they feel would be an ideal location.
But Nelson City Council says the planning process for that waterfront area must be finished before any decisions can be made on the matter.
