Salmo to update OCP

The officaial community plan for the Village Of Salmo is old and needs to be updated.

So the announcement of $75,000 in the form of a federal gas tax grant is welcome news for Mayor Stephen White.

He says the village will chip in a further $30,000 to update the plan.

White says with out this injection of funding the project would not be possible.

The entire update project will cost $105,000, and it will move forward with extensive public consultation.

White says the entire project will take about two years to finish.
