Local free-style skiers and boarders have made a big impression at the Freeride Junior World Championship which went in Andorra on Saturday.
Nelson’s Nigel Ziegler and Sam Kuch grabbed 2nd and 4th places respectively.
Also among the Canadians were Castlegar’s Jeff Ashton, who is currently based in France on an exchange.
He says it was run just like a full professional tour event.

Ashton finished just outside the top 20.
Nelson’s Haley Cooke and Savannah Leishman both placed in the top 12.
